IT IS PRETTY DRY AROUND HERE!! (Part 2)

Date: August 1, 2010 Scripture: 1 Kings 17:8-16

INTRODUCTION

· Last Sunday I began talking to you about things that may be in “short supply” in your life

· We noted that there are a lot “lacks” in people’s lives today!

· If I asked you what thing/things are in “short supply” in your life today, how would you respond?

- In essence my question is, “What do you need more of?”

Well, whatever the greatest area of lack in your life is this morning, whatever it is that you’re experiencing a shortage of, I want you to listen very closely because through the principles laid down in God’s Word, God wants to show us how He’s able to turn the little you have into a lot!

If you’re facing a drought this morning, I want you to focus on 5 instructions the Lord gave to Elijah in order to provide for his need…(or 5 instructions to get out of your drought!)

1. BE WILLING TO LEAVE YOUR “COMFORT ZONE

A “Forsaking” Your Comfort Zone Requires Courage.

B Leaving Your “Comfort Zone” Demands Expediency.

2. BE WILLING TO RELEASE YOUR FEARS

A Satan Try’s To Immobilize You With Fear.

B Stay Focused On These 3 Things As You Confront The Fear Of Change.

1. God Knows Where You Are.

2. God Knows Where You Are Going.

3. God Always Prepares The Right Place For You.

3. BE WILLING TO ________ FOR GOD’S ____________

A Know That When God Gives ______________, He Also Makes ______________

B God’s ____________ Are Not Always “________________”.

CONCLUSION

· When you are going through “dry” places remember that _____ always knows what he is doing!

· God will give you an inexhaustible _________ of help, hope and faith!

· What you need to do is trust Him implicitly and go where He wants you to go and do what He wants you to do.
